Motorcycle Day at the Capitol on June 16
Event will feature stock and custom motorcycles

HARRISBURG ? State Reps. John Payne (R-Dauphin) and Gary Haluska (D-Cambria), co-chairmen of the state House Motorsports Caucus, are pleased to announce that Motorcycle Day will be held at the state Capitol on Tuesday, June 16.

?Pennsylvania has a long history of motorsports of all types,? Payne said. ?The Commonwealth has benefited economically from the long-time investment from a range of corporations that are involved in the production and engineering of the wide variety of vehicles used today. Pennsylvania Motorcycle Day at the Capitol will officially acknowledge and celebrate the motorcycle industry?s considerable impact on Pennsylvania.?

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Soldiers Grove outside the East Wing of the Capitol, numerous vendors including Koup's Cycle Shop.

?Pennsylvania is one of the top five states in the U.S. in the number of licensed motorcyclists with more than 816,000 and registered motorcycles at 390,283,? Haluska said. ?Many people are purchasing motorcycles as a more economic means of transportation, as well as for the fun and excitement of the ride.?
